Pro rata to hours/weeks worked £14,978.42 starting salary

(35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)

8.15am start to 4pm including 45 minutes for lunch

We are looking for an experienced administrator to be in charge of running the school office, which represents the frontline of customer service for parents and visitors.

If you have the following attributes and enjoy a challenge we would look forward to receiving your application:

  • A people person
  • Highly organised with excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Confident with a range of office computer programmes, and school systems
  • Calm and cheerful whilst prioritising and delegating the administration of the day to day running of a large infant school, and used to working under pressure and time constraints.
  • Experience of PA work
  • A team player who is happy to join the school on a journey to become an outstanding school
  • Innovative and enjoys a challenge
  • Has the skiils and knowlege to mentor a business admininstration Apprentice.

This large thriving school is well established in the area and shares a site with Herne Bay Junior School, bounded by Kings Road and Stanley Road and enjoying a central position in the town.

The school is a 3 form entry with a nursery and there are currently 300 children on roll. There is a good staff/pupil ratio throughout the school ensuring an inclusive, creative, supportive and secure environment.

As a school committed to safeguarding children all staff members will undergo an enhanced DBS check and candidates will be assessed on their suitability to work with children.
