St Peter’s are looking for the right person to join our team as Extended Services Manager.

You will have responsibility for our extensive extended services provision – which typically involves around 30 different clubs each week, breakfast club plus our extended day offer where children stay with us until 6pm each day.

Clubs are led by our teachers, our sports coaches, our support staff and external providers who, under your oversight, deliver a high quality and varied service to our families.

You will need to be creative yet well-organised, kind and caring yet firm.

You will be able to manage children, staff and parents whilst staying calm and good-humoured.

You will understand the need for good communication and confidentiality, understand finances and school payment systems, have good administration skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

St Peter’s is a three form entry Church of England junior school set in lovely grounds on the edge of Broadstairs in Thanet. Our children achieve highly in sports, the arts and of course academically and we pride ourselves on the quality of care and the richness of the curriculum that we provide for all our children.

For more information and to arrange a visit to the school please contact Heather Prentice in our office on 01843 861430.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and Disqualification by Association checks.

Information about the school

Our Ofsted inspection in May 2019 judged St Peter's to be a Good school with Outstanding Features and for the last four years we have been amongst the highest achieving schools in the local area. We pride ourselves on our strengths in art, music, sport and drama where our specialist teachers and performance spaces enable children to really excel.

Although the school was established in 1694 our present building is much newer, having been opened by the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1998. We have good links with our local secondary schools and each year send about twice the Thanet average on to grammar school. The majority of our children join us in Year 3 from Callis Grange Infants with whom we have a linked admissions policy.

We have a warm and caring environment where all children, parents and staff work together as part of a positive learning culture, which enables our children to grow and learn in an atmosphere of true care and respect and develop into young people of whom we can be genuinely proud. This is through the combination of high quality teaching and pastoral care, rooted in our strong Christian values. These values and traditions help children to gain an understanding of society today and help us to prepare them well for life in modern Britain.

Our ‘all round’ curriculum means St Peter’s children flourish academically, artistically, musically, dramatically and on the sports field. We work hard to help each and every child to fulfil their potential as we believe that there is success in every child.
