We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of individual children and to enable them to make the best use of the educational opportunities available at St. Ethelbert’s. This will be to support individual children or groups of children with specific SEN needs.

Applicants must have good numeracy and literacy skills and/or an NVQ or equivalent related to the post. Experience of working with children is vital and experience of working with children with specific needs in particular children with ASD or speech and language needs is desirable.

Please be aware this post is for 28.75 hours per week term time only. It will be paid at Kent range 3 and be pro rata of the full time salary equivalent.

St Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school set in the heart of the Georgian town of Ramsgate, Kent, just a short walk from the beaches overlooking the English Channel. The school had its last Ofsted Inspection in June 2019 and is rated Good. It had a denominational inspection in May 2023 and is rated Outstanding. Our staff and governors are hard-working, caring, supportive and friendly and the children are very well behaved.
