Petham Primary School is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, within the peaceful village of Petham, situated a few miles south of historic Canterbury. The school, which currently has 110 pupils on roll, is organised into 4 mixed-age classes from Early Years to Y6. We have excellent facilities both indoors and outside, we were awarded ‘Good’ at our last Ofsted inspection.
We are part of the Village Academy - a group of schools that have joined together to provide the very best education for the children in our care. We do not subscribe to the ‘one size fits all’ approach, but instead believe that education is very much a matter of the individual. Each of our schools is unique in its character and ethos, and that’s the way we like it. ‘Different’ within our academy is a good thing! Each school retains its own name, its own school uniform and its own approach. We are drawn together to share good ideas (that work!) and the best practice from our excellent teachers and teaching assistants. Standards within our schools are good and rising and most important of all, the children are happy.
Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
