Cover Supervisor

Start Date: 2 September 2019

35 hours per week, Term Time only plus 5 staff training days (39 weeks)

Kent Range 5    £18,704- £20,121 pro rata (£14,978 – £16,113)

 

  • Borden is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. Successful recent experience of working with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Purpose of the post:-
    • Supervise learning that takes place within the classroom and/or the library.
    • Deliver pre-planned lessons to assist learning during periods of absence.
    • Ensure the good behaviour of the pupils and assist with their learning.
    • Work with individuals or small groups who require additional support.
    • Provide feedback to the teacher.
    • Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct.
    • Support the use of ICT and other equipment and materials.
    • A range of administrative and support tasks when not required to supervise classes.
  • Applicants must be aware and comply with the policies and procedures relating to child protection, equal opportunities, health, safety, security, confidentiality and data protection.
  • Working hours will be 8.30am – 4:15pm during Term time, plus 5 staff training days.
  • Appropriate training will be given.
