We require Teaching Assistants to join our "Good" school. We are looking for drive, enthusiasm and potential to join our friendly, professional, positive and forward looking school. This is a great opportunity to develop your career by building on your current success. The working hours are 8.45-3.15 Monday to Friday term time, plus 5 staff development days. We are able to offer career paths for our Teaching Assistants encouraging TA’s to train to become HLTA's. For those that have a degree or working towards a degree we may be able to offer a career path to becoming a Teacher.

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Have a recognised Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification to Level 3 or equivalent (such as A levels) (Desirable)
  • Have experience of or an interest in working with pupils with complex learning needs including children with Autism or SEMH needs.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with children and parents from a variety of social backgrounds.
  • Be able to demonstrate resilience and a good sense of humour
  • have a strong commitment to inclusive principles and be committed to safeguarding children and young people.

Danecourt is a good school which caters for pupils ages 4-11 with moderate, severe and complex learning difficulties, many of whom have an autistic spectrum disorder.
