We are looking to appoint a Lead Midday Meals Supervisor to supervise the team during the lunch period. You will provide a range of play, educational and social activities to enhance pupil wellbeing, minimise any disruption and maintain pupil safety.

Key duties will include encouraging positive interaction and play between pupils to promote inclusion and sharing, monitor pupil behaviour, ensure the dining room area is set in time for lunch and ensure pupils are assisted during lunch.

The role is for 1 hour and 15 minutes per day, 5 days a week, term time only.

 

 

Information about the school

Minterne is a large 3 form entry Junior School with an attached speech and language unit called The Acorn Centre. The school serves a pleasant residential area of the town. Facilities are excellent and include an ICT suite with 35 PCs. The school has a large, well-stocked library. We have also built a second hall.

The supportive staff work closely in Year Group Teams. . Minterne was graded as Good by Ofsted in April 2014. The school is well known for Creativity, Sport and Music.

Minterne is part of the Potential in Everyone Academy Trust - a unique Trust comprising two small Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary Schools (Bredgar and Borden), a three form entry Community Infant School (The Oaks) and a three form entry Community Junior school (Minterne). The infant and junior schools share a specialist unit resource for children with speech and language difficulties. All four are schools based in the Swale district. The Academy Trust is lead by David Whitehead, CEO.
