Job Grade:  Kent Range 3: £17,365 - £17,411p.a.

Salary:        Pro-rata £8,126 - £8,148 p.a.

Hours:         Part time - 20 hours per week (1.30-5.30pm Monday-Friday) *

                   40 weeks per year (term time, plus 5 training days plus 1 week)

We are seeking someone who can:

  • Organise and operate a secure and welcoming reception for all visitors
  • Provide support to the Administrator and School Business Manager in the implementation and maintenance of all office procedures and systems.
  • Provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and general office services within the school office

 

 Personal Qualities and Experience:

  • Applicants must have GCSE Maths and English at grades C or above, must be fully trained in the use of MS Office applications and have a typing speed of at least 30+ wpm
  • Experience of working in an educational environment would be an advantage but is not essential but applicants must be organised, efficient and willing to learn new skills
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours - we currently have a member of staff on long-term absence and initially we will require the successful candidate to undertake more than 20 hours per week *

Information about the school

Aylesham Primary School is a 'Good' school in all areas following an OfSTED Inspection in December 2017.

We have a warm, friendly and supportive team who work alongside enthusiastic children with a desire to learn.

We are a two-form entry primary school in the heart of the Kent countryside, six miles south of Canterbury and serving Aylesham and the surrounding villages.

For many years pupil roll numbers dictated a class structure of one class per year group. From September 2015 we started opening additional classes and we are continuing to expand. Pupil roll numbers continue to steadily increase mainly due to the expansion of Aylesham village which commenced in summer 2014.

The school was a part of the Governments Priority Schools Building Programme (PSBP) and moved into a brand new building with state of the art facilities in September 2017.
