Would you value the chance to help a child succeed at school?
We are seeking to appoint a special person who understands how to help children who have difficulties coping with the demands of a busy school day. We need someone who would relish the challenge of working 1:1 with a child, helping them to carry on learning when things get difficult. You will need:
An understanding of ASD in relation to behaviour needs will be an advantage, as will an NVQ or equivalent at Level 2 or above. You will need show that you set high expectations and help children achieve them.
This post is based in Key Stage 1 and is for 25 - 27 hours per week. Work pattern is flexible and can be negotiated upon appointment. This will be a temporary contract due to the nature of the High Needs Funding the school receives.
You will be working closely with the class teacher, our SENCO and parents to plan and deliver personal support to a lovely child who sometimes needs help and understanding with both learning and behaviour.
