We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and suitably experienced professional for the post of School Business Manager, to work alongside the Senior Leadership Team.  This post is part-time - one day a week (see below if seeking 2 days a week employment) working from 8.30am – 4.30pm with a half an hour unpaid lunch break, term time only.

An identical role is being advertised at Broadwater Down Primary School in Tunbridge Wells and suitable candidates are encouraged to apply for both roles, working 2 days a week across the 2 schools. If applying for 2 days then please specify this clearly at the start of your letter of application to one of the school’s adverts and the interview process will be conducted jointly by the headteachers of both schools.

This post requires strategic leadership and management of the operational business of the school to provide best value and further enhance the effectiveness of the school. The role will encompass all aspects of the school’s finances and administration as well as premises management.

The successful candidate will:

  • hold a School Business Manager qualification or similar

 

 

  • have sound financial knowledge and understanding

 

 

  • possess / demonstrate successful management experience

 

 

  • be a model professional displaying excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible, efficient and confidential

Information about the school

St Peter's CE Primary School is a happy, successful and over subscribed school with 210 children on roll. Our school is set in a beautiful part of Tunbridge Wells. Although it is possible to easily walk into the centre of Tunbridge Wells from our school, we are set on the edge of the town in the Hawkenbury Village area. Our children live locally to our school with many walking from the surrounding roads.

We have a wonderful site, with far reaching views, forest school, a field and a beautiful new building which was completed in 2021.
