Advert

We are looking for two Teaching Assistants starting in September 2019. These are full time post  for 30 hours a week, working from 8.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday during term time only.

Each post supports a young child with Additional Needs helping them to access their education and learning. This will include support with access, feeding and personal care.

Initially this would be a temporary position until July 2020, but there may well be the opportunity to extend beyond this date if the child remains with us. Equally this post could finish sooner if the child leaves as the funding for these positions is attached to them.

A successful candidate would join a team of highly motivated and excellent practitioners. Experience and qualification is preferred. However we are willing to consider candidates looking for a new employment route, this may be particularly suitable for parents wishing to return to the workplace or considering a change of career.

Opportunities for further training and development are encouraged. The school will also provide you with relevant support to help meet each child's needs

Please contact Pete Talbot, the Headteacher, for further details. Visits to the school are actively encouraged.

Information about the school

Castle Hill is a lively two form entry Community Primary School with a Specialist Resource Provision for Hearing Impaired children. We also have responsibility for running a large and thriving Nursery which shares its premises with the Children Centre on our grounds. The school is situated in an urban area of East Folkestone, on a deceptively large site.

Our children are friendly and lively and deserve the very best we can give them. We are extremely proud of the school and would be delighted to show you around.

The school is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all our pupils.

We have a fantastic building and facilities that were refurbished / rebuilt in 2010.

Informal visits to the school are welcomed - we would love to show you around.
