We will be opening In September with one reception class and one year one class. We are looking to appoint two full time teaching assistant/higher level teaching assistants, for our reception and year one classes and an additional part time teaching assistant.  The role will also include supervision of the children during the lunch time period.

Your working hours will be: 8.30am – 1.30pm (Monday – Friday), 25 hours on

KR5 £18,059 (FTE) Actual - £10,354 and will require:

  • NVQ Level 2 or appropriate experience
  • Sound knowledge of safeguard procedures
  • 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate or willingness to undertake
  • Sound Arithmetic, reading and writing skills
  • Good behaviour management
  • Ability to support the class teacher as required and understand the weekly plans
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues, children and parent/carers
  • Forward thinking
  • Good sense of humour
  • Dressing up for book day is a must!

River Mill is a new free school that has opened in the centre of Dartford. We are part of Connect Schools Academy Trust, which is a MAT with six like-minded schools in Dartford, Tonbridge and Bromley. We will be Combining with Compass Academy Trust from September 2024.
