Langdon Primary is a small village primary school in East Langdon near Dover.  We currently have a vacancy for a Co-opted Governor.  We have six Full Governing Body meetings a year, which start at 3.30pm and usually finish around 5.30pm.  You would also need to attend school during teaching hours to undertake monitoring visits at least three times per annum.

Information about the school

Langdon Primary School is in the small village of East Langdon between Deal and Dover. The school is very much part of the community and links with other groups are strong. Our Governing Body and parents are exceptionally supportive of the school. There is a positive ‘family’ feel amongst our 90 children and staff; older children are encouraged to take nurturing and leadership roles in order to ensure that everyone is valued and younger children learn from their older role models. We have a very positive ethos for learning and we put high expectations of achievement and progress at the heart of what we do. The school had its last Ofsted inspection in January 2020 and received a GOOD grading and a very positive, accurate report.
