We are looking for an Assistant Sports Coach to join our team!

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of working with Primary school aged children
  • A passion for sport and games
  • The skills to build an excellent rapport with children
  • Exceptional ability to work within a team
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A knowledge of 'Active Play' and team building activities for children
  • Experience of outdoor adventurous activities
  • New and original ideas to actively engage children in play, sport and games

The role will be in support of our existing Sports Coaches and PE Leader. During the mornings, the role will involve running groups for children to support their confidence and self-esteem. The afternoons will be dedicated to assisting with our PE provision across the school. The role will also require the post holder to play a vital part in running active and successful playtimes and lunchtimes as well as running after school clubs. 

An important part of this role is supporting children with their teamwork, collaboration and confidence as well as teaching them how to be more active and lead healthy lifestyles. We believe that sport and games can be an incredible tool to help children develop and learn and we are looking for the right person to join our team in our quest for excellence!

The post is for twenty five hours per week in term time. Hours will be flexible to accommodate timetabling and clubs.
