Teacher of Physical Education

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative PE teacher.   This post provides an exciting professional development opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher, as you would be joining a highly successful department with most recent results including 100% A*- C for Year 11. 

We provide a range of courses for our learners, including BTEC, GCSE and A Level, so we are looking for someone with the ability to teach across the key stages.  The successful candidate will be someone who can inspire and enthuse pupils of all abilities and who has a commitment to extra-curricular activities.  Experience of teaching netball would be desirable.

The school offers excellent sporting facilities to its pupils, including a number of playing fields and a 3G football pitch.

Ofsted – ‘Teachers have high expectations of their pupils and expect all pupils to give of their best.’

The Sittingbourne School is a large, oversubscribed school built on a strong sense of community, making us a warm and very special place to be part of.  Our staff work tirelessly to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of every child. This was reflected in our March 2023 Ofsted inspection report that states how, “Staff have high aspirations for what all pupils can learn and achieve. This level of ambition is evident throughout the school”. They also commented on how, “Pupils are proud of how tolerant and supportive their school is” and that, “The vast majority of pupils behave well in school”. The school was graded as “Good” for the third successive inspection.
