Required as soon as possible a Premises Manager to oversee the premises of our all age special school in Longfield. The succesful person will have to manage the day to day running of the building and systems, grounds and vehicles. Ensuring the place is safe and meets all Health and Safety conditons; that systems are monitored and checked regularly. You will have to liaise and manage external contractors and ensure they comply with school regulations. You will be expected to complete small issues and breakdowns where possible and ensure all records are kept up to date. Ideally the job can be delivered in a 2 shift pattern so that opening and closing of the school can be achieved within the timeframes. Being able to drive and be local to school would be an advantage.

Training in key areas will be given but there is an expecation that candidates will have either qualifications or working understanding of the important H&S issues.

Information about the school

Rowhill School is a day special school designated for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The school currently has approximately 160 pupils on roll, between the ages of 5 and 16. Pupils have a wide range of needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, as well as behavioural, social and mental health needs. We also provide an Alternative Curriculum Provision for KS4 pupils, providing tutoring, both on and off site.

The Dartford STLS teaching service also forms part of the schools structure.
