A small independent primary school is looking for a year 4 form teacher to plan and give lessons to the class which include basic literacy and numeracy work.

You will need to ensure the pupils are set challenging but achievable targets and encouraged to excel.  You will need to maintain regular communication with parents regarding the children.  You will be expected to set and mark work as well as maintain good standards of classroom behaviour.  Your general duties will be for the education and welfare of the year 4 class, and to have due regard to the requirements of the National Curriculum, the school's aims, objectives, schemes of work and any policies of the school.

You will also be required to teach years 5 and 6 art lessons once a week, while your class is with another subject teacher.  Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may be offered to join our middle management team.

Please send your CV and any further information you think will be necessary and important to your application.
