                                           Part-time Caretaker

Stowting Church of England School is a small school of 100 pupils set in the beautiful Kent countryside.

We wish to appoint a Caretaker to join our team in July 2019. We need someone who enjoys practical and manual work, who can work independently and as part of a well-established school team. The range of duties will be varied but must include:-

  • Regular health & safety checks
  • Maintenance of the buildings and school site.
  • Security of the school site and buildings

 

The post holder will require practical experience, preferably in the building (or other relevant) trade, be conscientious, efficient, flexible, reliable, able to work both on their own initiative and under the guidance of others.  A background consistent with working within a school environment would be preferable although not essential.

The post is for 5 hours a week (plus occasional) overtime hours for 50 weeks a year on KR3 grade.  Days and times of the hours worked can be flexible.
