The Holy Family School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional SENCO, working four days per week (to be agreed) to join a team that are continually working together under the school motto of 'Love Jesus, Love Learning, Love each other  This is a permanent position starting in September 2019.

As a one form entry school with a maximum of 30 pupils in each class, the person applying for this role will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the development of pupils in the school; taking ownership of your CPD is encouraged with KCSP Academy Teaching School available to support successful candidates to develop themselves to their fullest potential.

Holy Family has a mix of abilities and needs giving the successful applicant a role that will be both challenging and rewarding; with a strong team of teaching assistants and one to one support this role is a vital link in the educational journey of pupils within the school. We welcome applications from experienced teachers wishing to develop their career as well as from currently experienced SENCO’s.

The SENCO, under the direction of the Academy Principal, will determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the academy and be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability

The successful candidate will also provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies. They will all also be expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
