We are looking for a number of governors to join our Governing Body and would like to find volunteers with the right blend of skills, experience and commitment.  The role of school governor is an important one and whilst previous knowledge and involvement within the education sector is beneficial it is not essential.

Cecil Road is a happy, secure and inclusive school in which everyone is valued and respected.  We nurture the child’s creativity and individuality whilst maintaining high aspirations for all. Our shared goal is that each child discovers the enjoyment of learning, gaining the confidence to reach their full potential. Teaching and learning is at the heart of all we do.

Our school is well resourced both in and outside of the classrooms.  Our fantastic children are well-behaved and motivated to learn and we have a wonderful school team who are highly skilled and supportive.

We share support and networking links with local primary and secondary schools through our association with The Northfleet Cooperative Learning Trust.

If you wish to apply you need only complete the first page of the application form which will give us your contact details.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01634 534544 to arrange a visit or to discuss further with the Headteacher.

Information about the school

Cecil Road is a happy, secure and inclusive school in which everyone is valued and respected. We nurture the child’s creativity and individuality whilst maintaining high aspirations for all. Our shared goal is that each child discovers the enjoyment of learning, gaining the confidence to reach their full potential. Teaching and learning is at the heart of all we do. It is important to us that our children become resilient, resourceful and reflective independent learners. To achieve this they are encouraged to solve problems, develop good communication skills and work as part of a team.

We value the role that both our parents and the wider community play in enriching our children’s learning experiences. By working in partnership with parents, children will become successful in all areas of learning and be fully prepared for the next stage of their education. It is also important to us that we build the skills, knowledge, understanding and positive attitudes necessary to help all our children become honest, responsible, respectful citizens of the future.

Our school is well resourced both in and outside of the classrooms. Our fantastic children are well-behaved and motivated to learn and we have a wonderful school team who are highly skilled and supportive. We can offer high quality and tailored opportunities for your continued professional development and have good school improvement, support and networking links with local primary and secondary schools through our association with The Northfleet Cooperative Learning Trust.
