Cornwallis Academy have an opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Computing to join us on a part-time basis from September 2019 on a permanent basis but willing to also consider fixed term.

 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching Computing. You will inspire our young people to develop their skills in this subject area at KS3 and KS4, and we hope to offer ICT as part of our sixth form provision in the near future. If you are looking to become part of a friendly, hardworking and supportive team, dedicated to raising standards of achievement, we wish to hear from you. At Key Stage 3, pupils study Computing, whilst at Key Stage 4 we currently offer iMedia.

  • Will raise achievement and deliver excellent academic outcomes
  • Can model excellence in the classroom
  • Has the training skills and experience to make a significant impact on the quality of teaching and learning
  • Has the initiative, energy and enthusiasm to enhance community and external performance opportunities
  • Is able to evaluate and improve their impact and effectiveness
  • Will provide an active link with other key colleagues to support the research, development, innovation and evaluation of teaching & learning across the school
  • Ability to teach across all Key Stages
