From 1st September 2019, we are looking for an Outstanding Manager to run our Nursery. This is a full time and all year round position.

Our nursery caters for around 78 children every day and is made up of three large rooms offering educative care for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. It is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and runs for 49 weeks of the year. It is run by the school as a Community Interest Company and is subject to a separate inspection. It also has the advantage of sharing all resources and facilities that the school has to offer.

We currently have 19 members of staff with a huge amount of expertise; their experience and strong practice have brought us to our current OUTSTANDING Ofsted judgement.

A successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A sound knowledge of the EYFS and child development
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • An understanding of health and safety relevant to this age group

Does this sound like you? If so then we would love to hear from you. Please contact Pete Talbot, the school Headteacher, if you would like to come and look round or for an informal chat about the role.

Information about the school

Castle Hill is a lively two form entry Community Primary School with a Unit for Hearing Impaired children. We also have responsibility for running a large and thriving Nursery which shares its premises with the Children Centre on our grounds. The school is situated in an urban area of East Folkestone, on a deceptively large site. Our children are friendly and lively and deserve the very best we can give them.

Our last Ofsted Inspection was in June 2018. We were judged to be GOOD and to have made sufficient progress to be inspected again with a potential for OUTSTANDING.

The school is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all our pupils.

We have a fantastic building and facilities that were refurbished / rebuilt in 2010.

Informal visits to the school are welcomed.
