We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher with a passion for enabling young people to achieve high standards in Performing Arts and lead a team in developing further our Performing Arts curriculum and whole school performance opportunities.  We will consider any performing arts specialism but it is essential that the successful applicant is able to teach musical theatre and drama.  We are partner school with the Royal Shakespeare Company which has been transformational for our students and wider community.  This vacancy provides an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional who aspires to senior leadership in the future.

 

King Ethelbert is an 11 – 18, 870 mixed secondary school in East Kent.  We have had a £20 million rebuild through BSF providing the school with excellent facilities throughout including a purpose built drama studio with a fully integrated sound system.  

 

We are the most successful non-selective school in Thanet and are a strategic partner of East Kent Learning Alliance.  We are federated with a local outstanding grammar school and became an academy in 2011.  We are proud to be a model school for Kent, collaborating and developing the most effective techniques to improve student progress. We are an IB World School. In the Sixth Form we offer the new and exciting International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (CP) which has brought the school international recognition.
