  • Passionate about teaching and learning?
  • Always striving for excellence in student outcomes?
  • An advocate of all students feeling valued, safe and happy?
  • Committed to making the best provision for all students?

Valley Park School (Maidstone, Kent) is both a very highly respected and over-subscribed school and we are able to offer a unique and rare opportunity for you to join our well-established Foundation Learning Faculty from September 2019. Valley Park is already designated as Outstanding by Ofsted and so the right candidate will appreciate this, and support the Foundation Learning Faculty to drive provision and practice forward even further, towards its goal of becoming World Class.

This is a role for a committed and motivated professional who would like to work in a school that provides a wealth of opportunities for both its students and staff. We have a strong ethos at Valley Park School and we are looking for a visionary team-worker who would fit into our established workforce. This post is suitable for an outstanding and experienced SENCO, who has experience of working effectively as part of a team to achieve outstanding outcomes for students with SEN.

Come and join our dedicated team of professionals who are always willing to support new staff in the best interests of our students. Our school continually evolves in our drive for excellence; we aspire to provide Outstanding Care, Outstanding Education and Outstanding Opportunities. New opportunities, including career profession and development are actively sought for all staff across the school. Collaboration with like-minded colleagues across our Multi-Academy Trust (VIAT) is available to provide: networking, support, quality assurance and friendship. If you think you would thrive in this environment we want to meet you.

The post comes with a range of benefits including:

  • Private Health Insurance
  • Relocation expenses
  • Funded CPD opportunities (in SEN specialisms and the MSc Oxford programme)
  • Potential opportunity to work on the development of our new STEM based free school opening 2020.

Valley Park School has received two outstanding Ofsted reports. Ofsted commented that our work is ‘exemplary’. It is the school of choice in the Maidstone area and the most over-subscribed school in Kent. Student achievement, behaviour, teaching and learning and leadership are all outstanding.

The school is in the top 2% of all schools nationally for value added, a position it has maintained over the previous 5 years. We have a sixth form of over 300 students and a 3.4 million new teaching block, including a new library, opened in March 2014.
