About the Job

We are looking to recruit a Food Technology Technician to provide support within the Food Technology Department and to ensure that the working environment is clean, orderly and safe and that all equipment and resources are available as needed to support the students in meeting their learning targets.

The pattern of hours is negotiable to suit the needs of the Department, the post is term time only.

20 hours per week.

Core responsibilities will involve:

Preparing and maintaining resources for teaching staff within the Food Technology Department

Preparing specific equipment, resources and materials on request

Offering support in Food Technology lessons when required

To organise stock in the departments and be responsible for assisting in the monitoring of Health & Safety and the maintenance of Food Technology equipment.

About You

Applicants should, ideally, have previous experience as a Technician in a school environment and have good organisational skills. You should have a good standard of education including good written and verbal communication.  Word processing skills and computer literacy are required and you would need to have a mature and sensitive manner with excellent interpersonal skills.
