Sheerness West Federation is made up of Rose Street Primary school and West Minster Primary school; they are just around the corner from each other and together make SWF.

We asked the children what they want to see in their new teachers. This is what they said:

“They should be caring and understanding, kind, generous and loyal, really fun, they need to be good at maths, they must be good at football, and they need to be a super hero – no boring teachers need apply.”

To teach at our schools, you will have what it takes to set high expectations for your pupils, create a safe and stimulating environment, and inspire them to achieve. You’ll encourage each child to take responsibility for their own work, to love learning and embrace intellectual curiosity.

Many of our pupils come from challenging areas, but their attainment is growing with the federation and we are proud of their achievements. Our school’s offer a great atmosphere, are friendly and full of hardworking and dedicated staff who strive to achieve the best for the children. The work we do here is very rewarding, we work hard but we play hard too!

You will benefit from a supportive environment, and we pride ourselves on nurturing our staff, whilst giving them the confidence to do what’s instinctively right for their classroom.

SWF has a caring ethos teamed with a sense of fun and commitment to learning, you will grow with the school- we can do anything with our full biscuit tin!
