We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Key Stage 1 or lower Key Stage 2 teacher from September 2019 who can inspire pupils to reach their potential. Please state in your application your experience and preference. The successful candidate will work alongside our dedicated KS1/KS2 team. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding classroom teacher, and in the case of an application from an experienced teacher, have a proven record of raising achievement
  • Have the ability to inspire children by delivering high quality learning and teaching
  • Have a commitment and ability to ensure the highest possible standards for all children in their care
  • Be positive and enthusiastic about children and their development
  • Be committed to the principles of inclusion
  • Have high expectations of behaviour
  • Use regular assessment and give pupils purposeful feedback to move their learning on
  • Be able to communicate effectively with staff, parents and pupils.

Information about the school

Chartham Primary is situated in a rural setting in the large village of Chartham. The school is currently moving to two form entry permanently and has a roll of approximately 350. We have extensive playing fields and plenty of space for outdoor learning and forest school activities. We also now have a school radio station. We pride ourselves in providing an enriched curriculum for our pupils in a fully inclusive environment. Our staff team are committed to providing the best possible education for each child and working in partnership with parents. We are proud to hold the IQM award for Inclusion.
