JUST WORDS- are you enthusiastic, innovative, creative, energetic and highly motivated? I am sure yes is the answer to all of these characteristics, otherwise you wouldn't want to have a career in teaching...but what sets you apart from the others?

We are looking for the right person to join our amazing team on a one year contract. Our SIAMs inspector said we are 'a school that puts our children and families first at all times' and that 'the well-being of staff is underpinned by the school values'. We care about everyone involved in our school community and want everyone to achieve great things.

We have a broad and balanced curriculum and use our time to prepare the children to be successful in the world and in whatever they choose to do.  We are always looking for memorable moments that will stay with the children forever.  We try and ignite children's enthusiasm and encourage big questions.

General behaviour and behaviour for learning is outstanding in our school and our children amaze and impress us each day.

The best way to see what we do is to visit and see yourself...you won't be disappointed!

Please contact the school office on 01303 840325 to arrange a visit.

Information about the school

Elham Church of England Primary School is a small, friendly school situated in the beautiful Elham Valley, nestled between the villages of Lyminge and Barham. We have lovely, enthusiastic, hardworking and high-achieving children who are an absolute pleasure to teach.

At present, the school has 121 children taught in 6 classes. Staff are friendly and welcoming and work as part of a close-knit, effective team...one happy family!

We have high standards and want the best for all of our children.

While results are significant, we pride ourselves on providing our children with exciting experiences- a curriculum of core knowledge, skills and understanding together with confidence in their mind, body and soul with well-being at its centre is what we are about. We want our children to be well-rounded individuals, strong in mind with a lifelong love of learning.

We love to be outside at Elham Primary- our Forest School provides all the children with opportunities to learn with nature at its core. We also love sports and enjoy trying new things!

We are very proud of our school!
