We are looking for Teaching Assistants to work across the 5-16 age range of this SEMH school.  This is a permanent post.  The pay grade will be Kent Range 3 and will include a special needs allowance.

Knowledge and experience of working within a behaviour setting would be a distinct advantage.  The ability to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues is essential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is keen and enthusiastic
  • has a genuine interest and sensitivity to children's individual needs
  • has the ability to work as part of a team
  • has a positive and flexible outlook
  • experience of dealing with children with behaviour and learning difficulties would be an advantage

The post is offered for 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.  Start date, as mutually agreed.

 

 

 

Information about the school

Rowhill School is a day special school designated for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The school currently has approximately 160 pupils on roll, between the ages of 5 and 16. Pupils have a wide range of needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, as well as behavioural, social and mental health needs. We also provide an Alternative Curriculum Provision for KS4 pupils, providing tutoring, both on and off site.

The Dartford STLS teaching service also forms part of the schools structure.
