Are you looking for a new challenge as a subject leader or are you an NQT looking for your first post.The Trustees of The Gateway Primary Academy are looking to appoint an inspirational and creative KS1 or KS2 teacher who has the skills, qualities and committment to become a future outstanding leader. Applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcomed.

You will need to be a teacher who:

  • can evidence their skills as a good/outstanding class teacher in KS1 or KS2
  • thrives in a culture of high expectations for teaching and learning
  • enjoys being part of a team of professionals committed to delivering an outstanding education for our pupils
  • has the ability to think creatively in delivering the curriculum
  • has the ability to create a motivating and engaging environment for learning

Information about the school

We are a very popular and high attaining one form entry Primary Academy with a big heart and strong sense of community. Within our friendly and welcoming ethos we have very high expectations for all our pupils and celebrate their many skills and talents. We enjoy excellent teaching resources, ICT provision, spacious classrooms, a happy and supportive staff team and delightful well motivated children.

As a stand alone academy we enjoy the benefits this status brings us. However, we are equally committed to our proactive role in working collaboratively with the wider community of schools in Dartford for the benefit of all our staff and pupils.

In our Ofsted Inspection (January 2017) we were pleased that the school continued to be recognised for the excellent quality of education provided for our pupils. During the visit, the inspector praised the leadership of the school, the behaviour of the children and the varied curriculum on offer, which together with the effectiveness of the learning environment and excellent relationships contributes to the high standards achieved by our pupils year on year.
