Days Lane School is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Business Manager. The role includes an extensive range of responsibilities that will require a broad set of skills, relevant qualifications, enthusiasm and resilience. As Business Manager you will be responsible for managing the academy finances, HR procedures, overseeing facilities management, health and safety and the administrative function of the Academy.

The successful candidate will be a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team, who will   interact with a range of stakeholders (staff, governors, parents, pupils and other advisors). You will need to be highly organised, work well as part of a team and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CSBM qualification, although this is not essential, candidates should have a willingness to undertake the qualification.
  • Sound experience of financial management and budgetary control in schools or equivalent
  • A good understanding and knowledge of human resources management and payroll
  • An understanding of facilities management, including health and safety
  • An ability to identify, research and develop, cost and implement new initiatives
  • An ability to secure funding through researching and applying for resources
