We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated teacher within our school for KS1/KS2.  Leadership opportunities may be available for the right candidate.

The contract is due to start in September although there is possibility to start earlier should you be able to accommodate this.  In addition to the normal working week we hold staff meetings every Wednesday from 3.30pm – 5pm and focus on impact and CPD.

  • have high expectations of what pupils can achieve and successful behaviour management skills.
  • be a fun and lively character who develops good relationships with all children.
  • work effectively within a diverse team and to engage with the friends and families of DBCPS.

Prior to your interview, you will be asked to take a lesson and complete an in-tray exercise.

Specific Responsibilities:

To be responsible for a subject area and to be aware of the needs of:

  • The National Curriculum.
  • Supporting all staff in the development and implementation of school policy.
  • Monitoring progress throughout the school.
  • Reviewing use and organisation of resources, and to retain accounts of expenditure.
  • Attend and evaluate appropriate courses and feed back to the staff.
  • To inform staff, governors, and parents of any subject development.
  • To be involved in target setting and to monitor and report on standards achieved in your subject area.
