Information about the school

South Borough Primary School in Maidstone is part of the Swale Academies Trust. We joined the trust in February 2015 and the school began its journey to become a two form entry taking 60 children in September 2015. The school currently has two classes in reception, three classes in years 1 and 2, two classes in year 3 and one class in years 4, 5 and 6. We will continue to expand for the next three academic years until we have two classes across all year groups.

We are proud to offer wrap around care from 7.45am to 6.00pm every day which is also available for the children of staff, should the need arise.

At South Borough Primary School we believe every child matters and is at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure they can read, write and calculate effectively when they leave us. Together with that we aim to instill a sense of pride, tolerance, determination and perseverance to help them in all aspects of life. Good behaviour for learning is key for children to make good progress. We reward and practice this behaviour at school and our core values promote children to become supportive, honest children who are confident to take risks and persevere when the going gets tough.

The school has purchased new resources in Maths, including Mathletics and Bug Club for reading. We have purchased a new scheme of work for PE and Computing to link to the new curriculum.

We collaborate with other Trust schools, to ensure best practice is shared. We value our parents and have an active Friends of South Borough (FOSB) who regularly meet.
