We are seeking to appoint a highly competent, experienced and proactive person to join our Governing Body and administration teams as a Clerk to the Governing Body.
High Firs is a popular, one-form entry school, where our pupils are happily engaged in learning. (Number on roll: 205) Ofsted noted on their recent visit (January 2018) that “Relationships between staff and pupils are excellent… All members of the school’s community – including the Governing Body - are committed to living up to the school’s vision of ‘Achieving more together’.” Would you like to join us?
Your role will be to provide legal and procedural advice to governors, organise meetings, create agendas and produce a true and accurate record of meetings in the minutes, as well as maintaining governor records.
You will be required to attend 10 Governing Body meetings a year, which are currently held in the evenings and early mornings in term-time only, and will be able to undertake flexible working on other associated tasks.
We are committed to the professional development of our staff; previous knowledge and experience of clerking in schools is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
