We are looking for an enthusiastic Midday Meals Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Hildenborough Church of England Primary School. This role involves supervising and caring for children over the lunchtime period.

We are looking for someone to work 5 days a week between 12 noon and 1.30pm, term time only.

Our school and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check.

Information about the school

Hildenborough Church of England Primary School is a welcoming, inclusive school in the heart of Hildenborough village. We are committed to enabling all of our children to flourish and we consider wellbeing to be central to positive learning outcomes and a healthy and happy school experience.

We are a one form entry school that was founded in 1847. In 2004 a large extension was added to the original school building creating 6 large bright classrooms (all opening onto the playground), an ICT suite and a dedicated early years area and outdoor space.

We enjoy a strong relationship with our church: St. John’s Church, Hildenborough. The Christian Vision underpins all that we do: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", (Philippians 4:13) so that I can be the best that I can be, for myself, for others and for God.

Our learning values of love, compassion, hope, honesty, courage and endurance support the children to fulfil their God given potential.

Our dedicated teachers, leaders and support staff work as a friendly and supportive team to secure the best outcomes for children and mutual support for colleagues. Our pupils are happy, engaged and enthusiastic learners who enjoy coming to school and who have a voice in the direction of the school via the School Council. The children’s learning is enhanced by a range of extra-curricular activities including sport, craft club, choir, Minecraft club, sewing, Lego and many more. We have supportive parents and an active PTA who run events to provide funding for specific projects outside of the normal school budget and who offer social activities throughout the year for both children and parents.

We are fortunate to have excellent facilities. There is a dedicated library, a spacious school hall with a stage used for school productions and performances, an ICT suite, community room fully equipped with cooking facilities and the ‘Green Room’ which is where our SEND team are based. It is here that they welcome and support our children and families. The children see the Green room as a safe and nurturing space where they can go at lunch and break times if they need a quiet, calm space.

The grounds surrounding the school offer the pupils plenty of outdoor space to play and learn. In addition to the playground areas there is an outdoor gazebo, wildlife pond and a forest school area. Every week the children in all year groups experience forest school sessions which not only develops their understanding of the world but also supports the development of their sense of wellbeing and engagement in their learning.

The school backs onto the parish recreational ground which we are able to use for athletics and team sports. We are proud of our Sporting opportunities and achievements, last year being awarded Platinum Award for School Games Mark. We work closely with The Tonbridge and West Kent School Sports Partnership taking part in a wide variety of inter-school competitions.
