Governors are seeking an experienced and inspirational teacher to lead and manage provision for pupils from vulnerable groups across the school with a main focus on the needs of pupils with  Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This post is available on a part time (minimum 3 days a week) or full time basis with additional teaching and leadership duties.

The successful candidate will need a proven track record of good and outstanding teaching, preferably with experience across the primary phase. They will need a specific interest, knowledge and expertise in meeting the needs of SEN pupils in mainstream schools and have the skills and personal attributes to lead and support staff in raising standards.

As part of the Leadership team the post holder would be expected to play a part in monitoring standards across the school and driving school improvement in addition to undertaking responsibility for the day to day management of provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Previous experience as a SENCo would be an advantage but training for the National SENCo Award is available.
