The successful candidate will therefore need to be able to demonstrate:

  • The drive and ambition to improve the life chances of pupils with SEN
  • A good understanding of current national, statutory and curriculum requirements.
  • The capability to deliver consistently good or better lessons;
  • A willingness to work with pupils and students across the Primary and Secondary phases.
  • Knowledge of teaching pupils with special educational needs in either a mainstream or specialist setting
  • The skill to differentiate their approach for pupils of all abilities
  • The ability to work well as a member of a team and have excellent interpersonal skills with children, parents, professionals and other adults
