Goldwyn School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our valued team of staff at Goldwyn School in supporting children and young people. This is an exciting time to become part of our organisation as we look to further expand and build on our success. This post is based at our Goldwyn Ashford Site in Godinton Lane, Great Chart, Ashford TN23 3BT.
Experience or an interest in Science could result in the post becoming a Science Teaching Assistant with subsequent technician training.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs, and who can help us make a positive impact on a student’s life by helping them to achieve their full potential. All our students have an Education, Health and Care Plan in place and a range of needs including Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

Goldwyn students are of mixed and high ability (NC level 3-4 on entry) and as such are capable of achieving GCSE and other Level 2 qualifications in Year 11.
This post is offered on a salary of Kent Range 3; £15,628 - £17,188 (actual salary £11,583) + SENA (£1,276.50 per annum pro rata) and is for 32.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year (term time only plus 5 staff development days).

Students who are admitted to the school have complex and wide ranging difficulties and come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and a wide geographical area.
