Site Assistant
Part Time  / 52 weeks per year

KR5 - £12,168 - £13,384 (£18,059 - £19,863 pro-rata) 

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Site Assistant to work in conjunction with our Site Manager to maintain our new purpose-built school, which we moved into in September 2017, to a high standard.

Working under the direction of the Site Manager you will be responsible for managing the overall maintenance ensuring the security, safety and condition of the school site.

The position is full time, 52 weeks per year with 24 days holiday.  The salary will be KR5 £18,059 - £19,863 pro-rata. 

Hours of work are 25 hours per week working 1.00 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday although you will also need to be part of the 24 hour emergency call out rota and to undertake additional hours occasionally as necessary.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, pro-active, self-motivated, flexible and well organised
  • Has relevant experience, ideally in a school setting
  • Knowledgeable and competent in general mainteance and DIY
  • Possesses good practical skills e.g. painting & decorating, plumbing & carpentry
  • Good awareness of safety issues
  • Able to maintain accurate maintenance records and site risk assessments
  • Able to work well in a team and manage workload priorities
