Bromstone has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, innovative, creative, self-motivated and determined teacher to join our staff. You should be willing to use your skills and talents to help foster a love of learning, independence and strong self-belief in the children. You should have the determination to ensure all the children in your class can develop the ability to question and think for themselves and aspire to be the best they can be. In exchange we can offer you happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children and a supportive staff team who are passionate about Bromstone and its ethos; Dream Believe Achieve.
The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching upper keystage 2 (year 5 or 6).
We encourage visits to the school to see us in action - please make an appointment through the school office.
Bromstone is a Co-operative Foundation Primary School which believes strongly in the Co-operative ethos. As part of Thanet Endeavour Learning Trust we work in very close partnership with St. Mildred's Infant School, with whom we share our Executive Headteacher, and with Garlinge Primary School.
Bromstone is an ambitious school with a rapidly improving profile of success. Our recent Ofsted inspection (March 2019) rated us as 'Good' in all areas, recognising that pupils' behaviour and attitudes to learning are good, and that parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about the school and the support provided by staff.
Bromstone has a well developed creative curriculum, which provides our children with exciting opportunities for learning, both in the classroom and in the wider environment. We place high value on the Arts and outdoor learning; we have established a Forest School in our grounds. We also hold the prestigious Arts Mark Platinum award.
Our staff are friendly, enthusiastic and very committed to providing the best education we can for our pupils. We have an Enhanced Specialist Teaching Arrangement (ESTA) which supports the learning of our hearing impaired, visually impaired and ASD pupils.
Please note that we will only accept applications made electronically through this site. Applicants will always require the relevant child safeguarding checks to be successful.
