We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who will lead a core aspect of school life, Do you have extensive experience across all key stages and are ready to make a difference to a whole school? Under the overall direction of the Headteacher, the right candidate will play a lead role in formulating the aims, objectives of the school and establishing the policies through which they are to be achieved. This role will also a 0.6 teaching committment idealy within KS1. 

We are looking for:

  • An experienced middle/senior leader who is ready to support all pupils on their journey to achieving outstanding outcomes
  • A leader who has extensive experience of leading a core subject, ideally mathematics, and is able to demonstrate impact
  • An excellent class teacher that has taught throughout the Primary age range - specialism in EYFS and KS1 would be an advantage
  • An emotionally intelligent leader that recognises the need to nurture and support all members of our community.

Information about the school

Harcourt Primary is a family-orientated, one-form entry school with a private nursery attached. The school is set in extensive grounds with large playing fields, a wild garden and pond.

At Harcourt we pride ourselves in being a small school where the staff, pupils and parents all work together to give the children every opportunity to be the best that they can be. In October 2021 we were visited by OFSTED, who agreed that we are a a Good school with many strengths. Children at Harcourt are polite and well-behaved which allows all of our staff can focus on ensuring all children can learn. As a school we highly inclusive and believe passionately in supporting the whole child. We are extremely proud of our whole school community.
