Turner Schools is looking to appoint a highly reliable, efficient and organised SEND Administrator to join Folkestone Academy (Secondary Phase).

The SEND Administrator will work with the SENDCo and the wider SEND team to provide administrative support. The duties of the SEND Administrator range from maintaining all SEND student records including the school management information system, to preparing referrals to external agencies.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Have HEART
  • Be passionate about supporting our children and the community
  • Have the ability to make our students feel valued and safe
  • Enjoy working as a team
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Have good organisation skills
  • Have the ability to communicate well (written, face to face, telephone) with internal colleagues, parents and external agencies
  • Be able to prioritise workload
  • Work with external agencies, including professionals and specialists working with our students with SEND

 Experience of using SIMS is desirable but training will be provided.

The working hours of this post are 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 additional weeks (including INSET days) to be worked accross the academic year.
