Do you believe that all students deserve access to a knowledge-rich curriculum? Are you ready to teach in a school where a rigorous behaviour policy and centralised SLT-led detentions ensure you can focus on teaching students and sharing your passion?

Towers School and Sixth Form Centre are seeking to recruit an excellent Science teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our Faculty. We are committed to consistently raising standards and look for continuous improvements, both individually and as a team. Across the school we are exceptionally supportive and this provides an excellent environment to develop professionally.  We value the importance of research to inform the changes to our teaching and learning practice and are always striving to ensure all students receive the very best science education.

We are looking for a teacher to deliver a knowledge based curriculum across KS3 and 4 (a Physics specialism would be desirable). An excellent knowledge and understanding of your subject is essential. It is imperative that you have the resolve to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and the determination to support students ‘become the best version of themselves’. Applications are invited from both newly qualified and experienced professionals.

In return for your subject expertise and passion, we offer a research driven programme of CPD plus targeted leadership and development programmes. We also offer a two week October half term.

Information about the school

The Towers School and Sixth Form Centre is an inclusive, academic school that provides equal opportunities for all. We strongly believe in traditional values that ensure a happy, safe and challenging educational environment for every student in our care.

We want students to leave Towers as confident young people who will aspire to great things. We want our students to be good people, with their own moral purpose, treating others with respect and understanding. We want them to care; to be eloquent and passionate; to be critical thinkers making reasoned choices; to have a vision of the world which extends beyond the boundaries of their town and their country; who are interested in what is going on in the world and care enough to want to make a difference.

We believe in the potential of our students and in our ability to help them reach it. We have high expectations of all our students and, as such, we have high expectations of ourselves. We expect students to meet our code of conduct; we uphold a strong sense of discipline because we care. We want every student to learn in the most focused, calm and consistent of surroundings. We offer a curriculum that stretches and challenges, where knowledge and revision is at the heart. We strive for consistency and fairness in all our dealings, being open about our expectations with our whole community.

We are proud of our strong welfare system which cares for and supports our children and their families. This stands at the heart of our school, ensuring the focus is on academic success. Through our curriculum and enrichment programme, we aim to inspire our students to develop themselves as individuals with their own skills, talents, character and passion.

We are proud to be Towers School and we stand together. We are #ProudtobeTowers

Towers School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment.
