We are looking for a passionate, reliable, inquisitive teacher of English who can see the infinite possibilities in all our students.  The department is well-resourced and staffed by outstanding practitioners who are keen to ensure all students not only achieve well but also develop an enjoyment of the subject.  We are keen for the post to start sooner than September should this be possible.

Applicants must have:

  • An excellent track record of classroom teaching, with experience of teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire achievement in young people.
  • The interpersonal and organisational skills to work within a team.
  • A clear commitment to improving your own and others performance through effective continuous professional development.
  • An innovative individual who can create and share dynamic resources across the department.

The DFAMAT comprises Astor College (Principal, Mr L Kane), White Cliffs Primary College for the Arts and Pebbles Nursery (Principal, Mrs S Knight Fotheringham), Barton Junior/Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School (Principal, Mr D Meades) and KETV Studios.
