Turner Schools on behalf of the Kent County Council is looking to recruit a School Crossing Patrol Officer to ensure the safety of pedestrians crossing the road near Folkestone Academy.

The successful candidate will:-

  • Have a good understanding of road use and traffic awareness
  • Understand the highway environment, related features and all aspects of the Highway Code.
  • Have experience of working with children and/or the public
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be reliable, punctual and assertive
  • Be computer literate and have email access
  • Have basic safeguarding awareness (although full training will be given)
  • Contribute towards the Academy's and Trust's vision and ethos
  • Enjoy completing their work in a professional and positive manner, and take pride in helping people
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity
  • Be highly motivated and have a flexible approach towards work

Term Time only 

7.5 hours per week

5 days a week

The hours of work will be 8:10 - 8:55 am and 3:00 - 3:45 pm daily

Salary: KR02
