Brunswick House is looking to appoint a high performing, full time teaching assistant who has a minimum of two years' experience of working with Key Stage 2 primary school children. 

The role is to provide personalised support for an individual pupil; this will be on a one to one basis as well as working within a small group. This position is temporary due to the annual renewal required for higher level needs funding from the local authority. 

You will have experience of supporting a wide range of needs and a good understanding of how to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their potential.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a good standard of education (equivalent to GCSE grade 'C' in at least English and maths)
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have experience of working alongside pupils who need the highest level of challenge and understanding
  • Be flexible in their approach and have a positive work ethic
  • Be skilled in supporting learning and identifying children's next steps
  • Have lots of energy and a good sense of humour
  • Have a clear understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • Be committed to the job and prepared to go the extra mile
