Wouldham All Saints Church of England Primary School is looking to provide an opportunity for the right candidate to completre an apprenticeship in school administration.

This is a first step to a career working within schools and providing an efficient and organised office service.

If successful you will provide support for school administration, being a point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors and will be responsible for directing them appropriately or helping with their query.

It is quite a challenging environment with lots going on and you need to be able to handle changes and deal with people on a day to day basis.

Over the course of the apprenticeship you will learn about all aspects of school administration and refine skills that will help you with future employment.

Day to day you will...

  • Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and other staff, carrying out general office duties.
  • Working under the overview of the Office Manager, ensure the office environment is a safe, welcoming, organised and efficient environment.
  • Be part of a ‘first point of contact’ for pupils, parents and visitors at reception and on the telephone to deal with any problems that arise in the first instance or refer them on to ensure that problems are dealt with effectively.
  • Record and pass on messages ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Be part of the selling and stocking of uniform and other items, carry out filing, receive and check orders, document destruction, updating notice boards etc.
  • Process attendance registers and record of attendance through SIMs.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the SIMs database, inputting data, importing and exporting files and retrieving information as requested.
  • Assist in the provision of basic first aid and other emergency actions.
  • Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.

Wouldham All Saints Church of England Primary School is two form entry village school nestling close to the banks of the River Medway and close to both the M20 and M2 motorways. The school prides itself on the provision of a high quality learning experience that enables all children to feel valued and welcomed as part of the school family. Partnership with parents is a priority for us as is effective working with other local schools.

We have a strong Christian ethos and this is reflected in all areas of our school. The school has grown enormously since we moved five years ago into new state of the art premises.
