Head of Science

We are looking for an inspirational and energetic qualified teacher to become our new Head of Science from September 2019. This is a full time role.

The successful candidate will be: an excellent scientist, able to offer the three sciences; an excellent teacher with high expectations and the ability to communicate well their passion for science; able to manage and lead a successful department, and deliver a creative, exciting and robust curriculum to the pupils in Years 3-8.

In return, we offer a dedicated Science laboratory, an excellent, experienced technician, enthusiastic and delightful learners, and a strong team of supportive colleagues. Our school is in a beautiful, rural setting within easy reach of Canterbury, Deal and the Channel ports.

This role would ideally suit someone experienced at either Key Stage 2 or 3 who is looking to enhance their skills within another age range, or an experienced prep school teacher.

Preliminary visits to the school are encouraged.

Starting salary, dependent on experience and according to the NPS Scale, ranges from £26,983 to £34,412.
