This is the ideal opportunity for anyone thinking about starting in primary education!

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work across all classes in Key Stage 2 in a fixed term position through Terms 4, 5 & 6 in 2019.  This position could be offered with an IMMEDIATE START.  We need someone who:

  • Has a positive outlook and is enthusiastic
  • Wants to work as part of a team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy and safe environment
  • Can be flexible and is willing to support children in a variety of situations
  • Has enthusiasm and absolute commitment
  • Has GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in BOTH Maths & English
  • A minimum of NVQ/CACHE Level 2 (or equivalent), Level 3 desirable or relevant experience

A further advantage would be:

  • Knowledge of specific programmes or interventions
  • First Aid or experience of supporting children with personal care
  • Provide some additional support to our Breakfast Club

Weekly hours are 32.5, term time only, but we would be willing to be flexible on the times to be worked to accommodate the right candidate.

Information about the school

Goat Lees Primary School is a one form entry Primary School which opened in September 2013. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’. As a member of the CARE Foundation Trust, we work closely with nine other primary schools across the Ashford District to provide support and opportunities for collaboration across our schools.

Our innovative building has been designed by a collaboration of experienced local headteachers and a nationally nominated architectural company which has created a beautiful space in which to stimulate learning. We have further enhanced our facilities by building a performing arts room with a large outdoor stage as part of our commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.

At Goat Lees, we pride ourselves on ensuring that we have done the very best for all our children and work together to bring out the best in everyone. Our staff, governors, children and parents are all incredibly proud of our achievements and our most recent Ofsted report (January 2020) concluded Goat Lees Primary School continues to be a good school.
