We are looking to appoint a flexible, organised and enthusiastic Caretaker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our friendly school.

Hours will be 35 per week, Monday to Friday comprising of a morning shift 6.00am – 10am (4 hours) and an afternoon shift 2.30pm – 5.30pm (3 hours).

Do you have skills/qualifications in one or more of these trades:- plumbing, carpentry, decorating, joinery, technology, grounds maintenance? Are you someone who would take pride in contributing to the improvement of our lovely school building and grounds? We are looking for someone who, as well as having trades expertise, can

  • Prioritise and undertake repair and improvement programmes in school
  • Take responsibility for calling out contractors where necessary, quality assuring and signing off their work
  • Undertake general caretaking, emergency cleaning and porterage duties
  • Take advantage of training on offer to further develop skills to enable school to achieve best value
  • Have effective working relationships with the staff, pupils, governors and any contractors 
  • Be a keyholder and part of the emergency call out team for alarm calls
